Vintage C. 1950s Flower Trim Hooped Petticoat

Hooped cotton petticoat with flower embroidered trim, perhaps circa 1950s. Simple white cotton petticoat (also know as crinoline) with a boned hoop 8½ inches from the hem. The hoop and hem are adorned with a floral trim; relief roses where the green embroidered leaves are flat and the red 'petals' project from the fabric. The waist is cotton bound and has two small loops inside for hanging the petticoat. Fastens at the side with a skinny Lightning zip.

Care Instructions: Cool handwash recommended.

Composition: Cotton.

Condition: Excellent condition, slight discolouration in one area near hoop.

All vintage nightwear and lingerie has been intensively washed and ironed before being added to the site.

Additional details: The boning may become misshapen in transit, if so it is pliable and can be easily be gently bent back into shape by hand.
