Although usually I have a pretty one track mind, on Saturday I took time out from fashion, grabbed a lovely lady and went up to Nottingham to stay with friends for the Launch of the Midland’s new gay friendly Alternative club night Dirty Filthy Sexy. But then it’s not just a run of the mill club night with a poultry DJ spinning the obvious tunes. If you’re after something a little different then this is the place; Dirty keep fresh by playing sets of off-the-beaten track music played by alternating DJs and night founders DJ Heathen, DJ Girl Scout and Lady Wildside Himself. Not only that but they also offer a great party warmer in the shape of some rockin’ bands; the debut selection were girl-fronted Birmingham rockers DRAG and the colourfully dark Luxury Stranger. But beware, if you can’t handle fun which is corseted, dread-locked and shiny think twice!
In addition i got to spend the day shopping with DJ Heathen (more about this soon), whats better?
